This was one of the first assignments that I was genuinely proud of completing. I had already learned Photoshop but never really challenged myself to create something beautiful. In our Multimedia course, when we were tasked to take some pictures ourselves and edit them our way. It was a challenge for me because I never really did anything like this.
I took a lot of new pictures around Fanshawe and in London but nothing stood out. But I remembered the concert that I had been to just 2 weeks earlier. This was my first concert since I have been to Canada. I took this picture of Mr. Amrit Gurung during the concert. He is a legend in the musical field in Nepal. So, I decided to use his picture and make a poster for this concert even though it had already happened. I searched for all the details for the concert and tried putting them in little spaces around him and make them look attractive. I used different types of fonts, weights, and placement to make this attractive.
I was happy with the my product but before submitting I reviewed this piece with many of my friends in class and they gave me some major suggestions which I corrected before submission. Our Prof Mike was really happy to see my approach and design choices and suggested me some improvements to make it stand out more. This was a fun and challenging assignment that was preparing us for our future projects.
